Sacred Knowing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Sacredknowing.ca
(the “Site”) and provides spiritual, wellness, and healing services,
which may include (e.g., energy healing, tarot/intuitive readings,
reiki, coaching, meditation guidance, teaching, hypnotherapy workshops).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect
your information when you visit our Site, book a session, or otherwise
interact with us. By using our Site or services, you agree to the
practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • Payment and billing information (processed through a third-party payment processor — see Section 5)
  • Appointment/booking details, including preferred dates and times
  • Intake form responses, which may include sensitive information you choose to share about your health, emotional state, spiritual practice, life circumstances, or personal history

2. Sensitive Information

Because of the nature of our work, you may voluntarily share sensitive
personal information with us — such as details about your physical or
mental health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, or spiritual beliefs —
during intake forms, sessions, or correspondence. We treat this information
with heightened care:

  • It is used only to provide and personalize your session or service.
  • It is not sold, rented, or used for advertising purposes.
  • Access is limited to Sacred Knowing and, where applicable, practitioners directly involved in your care.
  • We retain it only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

Important: Our services are not a substitute for medical
or mental health treatment. Please do not share information here in place
of communicating with a licensed healthcare provider during a medical or
psychiatric emergency.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule, confirm, and provide sessions or services
  • Process payments and send receipts
  • Communicate with you about appointments, follow-ups, or your account
  • Send newsletters, promotions, or updates (only if you’ve opted in)
  • Personalize and improve your experience and our offerings

  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the Site

We do not use your sensitive intake or session information
for marketing or advertising purposes.

(PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA),
which applies to our handling of personal information as an Alberta-based
organization.

    depending on the sensitivity of the information) before collecting,
    using, or disclosing personal information. You may withdraw consent
    at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us.

  • Sensitive information: Given the personal and sometimes
    health- or emotion-related nature of intake and session information,
    we obtain express (explicit) consent before collecting it and use it
    strictly for the purpose of providing your session or service.
  • Accountability: Sacred Knowing is responsible for
    personal information under our control. Our designated privacy contact
    is listed in Section 15. If you are located outside Canada, please see
    Section 12 regarding international data transfers.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers who help us operate our business
    (payment processors, scheduling tools, email platforms, hosting providers),
    bound by confidentiality obligations
  • Legal authorities if required by law, subpoena, or
    to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition,
    or sale of business assets

We never share your intake forms, session notes, or personal disclosures
with third parties for marketing purposes.

Our Site may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Support booking and payment functionality

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies

Session notes and intake information are retained for [X years/duration]

is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Under PIPEDA and Alberta’s PIPA, you have the right to:

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure
    of your information at any time (subject to legal or contractual
    restrictions), including unsubscribing from marketing emails via the
    link in any message or by contacting us
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject
    to our legal and record-keeping obligations
  • Ask questions about how your information is being handled
    or file a complaint (see below)

If you have concerns about how we’ve handled your personal information
that we haven’t been able to resolve, you may contact the
Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta

(priv.gc.ca).

10. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has
provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Site may link to third-party websites (e.g., social media, booking
platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those
sites and encourage you to review their policies.

12. Storage and International Visitors

Your information is stored and processed in Canada, except where a
third-party service provider we use (e.g., a payment processor, scheduling
tool, or email platform) stores or processes data outside Canada, including
in the United States. In such cases, your information may become subject
to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by foreign authorities.

If you are visiting our Site from outside Canada, your information will
be transferred to and processed in Canada.

13. Breach Notification

In the event of a breach of security safeguards involving your personal
information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify
affected individuals and, as required, report the breach to the Office of
the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and/or the Office of the Information
and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated”
date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of
the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
